I know I'm WAY behind on blogs, but I decided to post about Ella's birthday today. My little Kim Jr. turned 5 on Monday! She woke up to streamers and a table full of balloons. Besides the typical fun girl toys, she got a set of REAL walkie-talkies. She saw them on a Curious George episode and has wanted them ever since!
Ella was a real sweetheart all day while I was busy getting ready for her party the next day. She couldn't wait until after dinner to go to Kangaroo Zoo! She's been waiting for that for MONTHS! She had her daddy follow her around the entire evening taking pictures of her!
The next afternoon was her party. Since she'd been in both preschool classes for the last month of preschool, she invited both classes (20 kids), 5 neighbors, and 3 cousins, and her sister! Well, about 25 of those kids came and the rest came other times to bring her presents. She's a well-liked kid! The kids started out by picking a bow to put on their kitty ears and then coloring pictures. Then each kid got a different color tail to sort them into 3 different game groups. Since the party was a combined party for Tanna as well, Jill was there to help with the games. Jill's group tried to fish out of the pool with their paws without getting wet and having kittycat races. Steve's group played pin the bow on Hello Kitty. I played a kitty cat game with the kids. After all the groups did all the games, we played one last game all together. The kids tried to pull each other's tails out. If they lost their tail, they had to bring it back to us (their owners). We would pat them on the head and fix their tail for them. They thought that was hilarious. They we blew bubbles for them and they got to bat the bubbles. Present and cake time was pretty crazy with all those kids, but I guess that's what parties are all about! They all had a blast and I saw kids wearing their ears around the neighborhood for days!
