Caution: Yields more Jam w/less fruit

I finally decided it was time to make strawberry jam again. I've been out all summer, but haven't had the time. So yesterday I bought all the supplies and tackled it today!Apparently the Ball company's estimated amounts are WAY off! I bought 4 packages of pectin, which called for 4 lbs of strawberries each (16 lbs) and 5 8-oz jars each (20 jars). Well, I just finished and only used 10 lbs of strawberries and 22 jars plus one large freezer container! So I have 6 lbs of strawberries left.
Ella and I are all strawberried out having eaten our fill of the first 10 lbs!! Guess I either need to go buy some more pectin and jars, or see if anyone local wants to help me out with these strawberries!! They were only 98 cents each - so hopefully I got a good deal! But I sure am excited to enjoy homemade strawberry jam for the next year or two!
