Summer - week 2

Well, week two ended a couple of days ago, I just haven't had the time to write. Not that I have time now, I'm just too tired to do anything else. Last week was filled with getting ready for the yard sale and for princess camp. I didn't get through every nook and cranny of my house like I should to get ready for a yard sale, but I still ended up with a haul. I didn't price anything this year and let people have things for really cheap. It was pretty much all junk anyway. I did sell my Guitar Hero and some of the flower clips I've been making. That was the bulk of my earnings, but I did end up making about $120. Not bad for junk! I only kept 1 box of stuff this year and the rest went RIGHT to DI. We were glad to be rid of stuff. The weather cooperated for the most part. It sprinkled early on, but then it was nice until we started cleaning up. Then it started to pour!! Eden had good timing, though and decided she was hungry right then, so Steve had to do most the clean up work!

I was glad to fill up one session of princess camp - 12 girls. Two weeks ago I thought I was going to have to cancel because I only had 2 paying customers! And after doing two days of camp, I'm enjoying only doing one session a day. The basement is all princessy now. E&E are having a blast - so I'm glad I'm able to do it.

Last week Emily was sick twice. She threw up all Monday night and into the morning. So she missed her first week of Sideways School at the library. We were still able to go to story time on Tuesday, though. Wednesday we went swimming at the Legacy Center with Jill and Lynn. Samantha begged me to go down the slide with her. Man, I'm old to not think that's fun. I ended up going down with Mason, Tanna, Ella, Mason - again, and Samantha. I was ready for a Tylenol after that! Thursday we went to the Lehi library with Jill. The library sure provides a lot of cheap fun! Thursday night Emily was sick again, but was better by morning. Don't understand these random bugs. Jill was nice enough to babysit for a couple of hours on Friday so I could get my shopping done.

We got so much rain this last week, it was hard to get any yard work done. Two weeks ago I was able to get one flower bed cleaned out and got flowers planted. I planned to do another one this week (I can only do one yard project a week because otherwise the garbage has no room for real garbage!), but it was too wet. So I'm kind of embarrassed of the weeds in the front and the sandbox with summer camp going on this week! I'm really ready to move to a condo with no yard! Yards are WAY overrated!
