2nd grade

Emily started 2nd grade last week! She's been SOOO excited. I'm so glad my children love school. We met her teacher on back to school night. They have a sailor theme. The teacher was the captain and all the kids got sailor hats. She gave them each a treat bag with Swedish fish and goldfish crackers. We're excited for her teacher this year, Mrs. Sandberg.

Here's Emily showing her true brainy side...
And her cute side!
Ready to go! Before school she said a prayer. She prayed, "Please bless that we don't miss our moms today at school." So sweet, but I'm sure it's more the other way around!I dropped her off the first day of school.
And watched her play for a minute before the bell rang!
And waited impatiently for her to return home!
She looked so happy!
And, the teenage years must start young because she has yet to remember anything she's done at school! So much for the talk-a-tive childhood!

She looks SO tall and SO old in these pictures! Where does time go? Glad she's loving it so far.

Oh, so cute! Her legs are so long - she is going to take after Mom and Dad. Glad she is enjoying school and loves her teacher. She does look like a 2nd grader!
