We were able to have a fun and cheap weekend. The school hosted a carnival on Friday night. I used the money I'd gotten that day from a craigslist sale and bought tickets. I actually bought too many because many of the games were free, so we used them to buy treats at the end. They were kiddie carnival games, but the kids had a blast. I didn't bring my camera. Emily enjoyed the fishing game the most. They even let some youth paint their cheeks. Ella was really shy because her painter was a boy, but I sat right by her and she did it. At the end the school was holding a fundraiser. If you test drove any of the cars from the dealer that were there, the dealer would donate $5 to the school. So we test drove two cars. They also had a drawing for a free night's stay at a resort in Heber valley. Right after we got home, we got a phone call that I'd won! So Emily brought home the tickets from school on Monday. We just need to find a night near our anniversary that Jill can take the girls. We got a free night's stay at a bed and breakfast in Heber last year, so we're getting pretty spoiled.
Then Saturday we went to a builder's lunch party. It was for Fieldstone homes - we love those houses, but they don't build them with basements in most areas. Turns out we'd been to the same open house the year before! So we went through the same four model homes, but it was fun. We enjoy looking at homes and the girls love exploring. This year it was fiesta themed. We got to make our own tacos for lunch. They also had a live Mariachi band. A radio station was there and gave the girls small beach balls that have been their favorite toy since. The last house had churros and a clown inside doing face painting and balloon animals. When we walked in and Ella saw the clown, she said quite loudly, "I don't like clowns in the kitchen." The clown thought that was hilarious and even made up a song about it. I talked them into waiting for a turn and they each got a flower painted on them and a balloon animal. This clown is professional and it looked 100 times better than the youth face painting! But by the end Ella had warmed up to the clown and the clown said, "Now I bet you wish there were clowns in every kitchen!"
Sunday I was sick because I'd run out of Unisom. I realized that it really is still helping me, so I sent Steve out to buy more. I still made it to church and my meeting, though. I had to present the primary program I'd written for this year. It sure gets easier to write every year. However, a little birdie told me the primary presidency is going to be released after the program. And I figure I stand a good chance of not getting called again since I'm pregnant!
Today should be a day of staying home and getting things done. I'm supposed to watch Jill's kids for her since Dave is supposed to be spoiling her today. We'll see if I end up getting anything done.

Sounds like fun! Oh, and can you have that little bird fly over here and pass that message on to my Primary presidency?? :)
Fun weekend and it will be great for you to have a "get away". Win next year and maybe we will be out there to watch the girls.
So your 7th anniversary is coming up! Can't even believe that many years have passed. Glad you two found each other.
Sounds like you guys need to buy a lottery ticket here pretty soon. Lucky!
That's so awesome that you won a weekend getaway! ENJOY!!
