Ella Bella

Ella always seems to crack me up! Here's a few Ella-isms from lately. Ella and I went shopping Friday night by ourselves. She's so fun to shop with. We have the cutest conversations. As we were leaving the store, the wind was blowing and she said, "The wind is going to blow my face off!"

After her nap the other day, she was eating a Popsicle. (It was her bribe to get her to sleep!) While she was eating, she said, "My face is leaking!"

Ella and I went shopping for shoes yesterday. She loved trying on all the SUPER high heeled shoes. She really, really wanted to buy a gold pair that she found. I told her she wouldn't fit into those for a long time. She said she would wait. I told her that they would probably be out of style by then. After begging some more, she declared, "When I bigger, I going to buy any shoes I want!" She is NOT her mother's daughter in that area. I could care less about having stylish shoes. We finally found her some sandals that she loved. As soon as we got home, she found her kid scissors, cut off the tags and wore them ALL night - including sleeping in them!

Emily and Ella were fighting about something (shocking, I know!) I made Emily share with Ella and then I asked Ella, "What do you say?" Instead of the customary, "Thank you!" she really let Emily have it. She said, "Emily, you so mean! You supposed to share! Next time you let me have it!!!" Wow, so much anger in a little 3 year old!

Today after church, Ella was telling me about her lesson. Here's about how the conversation went.

"Today we learned about fruit people." "Wow, you learned about fruit?" "No, fruit people." "That sounds interesting." "Yeah, they not supposed to eat the fruit because they not APPLES!" "Oh, who told them not to eat the fruit?" "Jesus did." "And did they eat the fruit?" "No." "Are you sure?" "Oh yeah, they did." "Then what happened?" "They had to leave." "Where did they go?" "To Lehi!" (Sorry, Dave & Jill - apparently you live in the lone and dreary world.)

Later she remembered that her teacher gave the class fruit snacks. "But it ok, they didn't make us die."

That's hilarious and totally brightened up my day to read! That little Ella Bella is SMART! I love reading about how her little mind works. I'm glad she doesn't think Spanish Fork is the lone and dreary world- although it might pass for the great and spacious building!! Give her hugs for me. Sorry we've been so distant lately. I miss those girls!

If you all would have just held on to the Iron Rod, you'd all be here in Green River with us!

I loved reading about the Ella comments -- especially the Lehi comment! I have some pretty hilarious conversations with our 3-year-old too. I'll have to write them down next time.

Cute little Ella! I love the one where they are being banished to Lehi. She sure gets back at Emily doesn't she! Glad that she loves her shoes. Mom, you have got to indulge her in some gold shoes (or I will)!
