Easter 2010

Easter weekend fell on General Conference weekend this year. It made it extra fun because Mark and Kellie's family came to visit and stay with Grandma and Grandpa. We got together Friday, Saturday and Sunday - much to the girls' delight! Friday night we had an egg hunt.
Eden thought it was great!
We also celebrated Braydon (and Kellie)'s birthday. Lynn's family likes to celebrate in style with pinatas! Eden got to go first, but really wanted nothing to do with it!
Emily was the first one to knock something off.
Spongbob's hand!
When all the candy was knocked out, Dustin showed his true intellectual colors.
The kids had a blast playing outside.
And snuggling by the fire to watch a movie.
Easter morning. It was nice not to have to rush to church. Emily zipped through her string maze and found her basket in record time!
Here she is showing off some of her loot!
Ella's loot!
Ella showing Eden the bag of M&Ms that was in her basket!! :)
Mostly Eden just loves opening the eggs and sucking on whatever's inside!
Look at all the eggs she found!
She liked hunting for eggs too! Emily was so into it she kept wanting to take Eden's eggs! However, Ella was a little mother and kept leading Eden to find more eggs.
Ella trying to hold all her new toys!
Mmmmm...candy.
My Rainbow Bright!
In between conference sessions. We FINALLY dyed our eggs!!! We dyed about 6 dozen eggs all while Eden was napping (thank heavens!!)
Some of Ella's presents from the Easter Bunny.
The girls were very good (for the most part) during conference. Ella sat and made flower clips with me during one whole session. She even whispered the whole time. And Emily quietly played on the computer and then quietly played in the playroom. We were very impressed. Sunday morning they sat and listened to the session with us. They played General Conference bingo with all their new candy they got that morning. They did really good for about an hour. Guess we take what we can get!

We had fun visiting with all the family and grandma and grandpa's house. During the Priesthood session, I used all the eggs I'd filled for the egg hunt (which got forgotten about) and we played another egg game. The kids had to carry an egg on a spoon all through the house doing an action I told them. Then they got to dump the candy in their own baggy. I was glad to get use the eggs the girls had helped me fill.

We sure had a great Easter, now we're just waiting for that spring-like weather that's supposed to come with it, right?
