Yesterday did not start out great. I was up half the night (or more) with a teething Eden and was a pretty grouchy mommy. But we did get all ready and headed up to the Children's museum. I thought we were going to meet Jill and Lynn's family there, but it ended up just being us. The girls had a blast and Eden had the time of her life! It was pretty busy there because of spring break and because they're having a $5 coupon month. The kid's don't seem to notice though!
We relaxed that afternoon until I sent the kids outside to play on the first nice day of spring break. They came in pretty quickly though because they got scared of a bee and a beetle. Sigh. It's going to be a long summer!
That night we went outside after dinner. Steve and I were surveying the yard for all the projects we want to do this summer. Eden just loves to be outside. She was walking around on the sidewalk and it was so hilarious because everytime she came to a crack, she got down on her hands and knees and crawled over it. Oh, if only every obstacle in life was that difficult! (Hmmm, there must be an object lesson in there somewhere!) We decided the girls need new bikes this year. Emily's bike is already almost too small for Ella and Ella's bike is a tricycle! My goal for this year is to make some raised garden beds and make some upside-down hanging tomato planters. They both don't sound that difficult to make. Steve's project is to build a shed. However, his wife is skeptical about his ambitions. He hardly has any time at home, let alone enough time to build a new structure in our yard! So I've been scouring the online ads for a shed. Unfortunately, the problem with that is transporting it. I guess spring/summer is all about outside projects! (Guess I should have been working more on our inside projects this winter!)
